Tweety the Bird's Nest Fern (Hurricane), Medium
Couldn't load pickup availability
Hard to find | Vibrant Color | Low light
With its circular growth pattern, this rare variety of bird's nest fern looks like a hurricane when viewed from above. We were quite tempted to name it 'Biebs', as its side-swept locks reminded us of a certain Canadian pop star circa 2009.
This bright green, wavy-leaf fern is just as easy on the eyes and pretty easy-going. It;s slow-growing, and loves humidity and warmth. Tt would be so happy in a steamy bathroom window, but will also be just as content anywhere in your home that gets a little light and isn't too drafty.
Also known as Hurricane Fern, Crispy Wave Fern, Asplenium Nidus.
Care
Difficulty Easy - relatively low maintenance.
Water Check soil moisture every 5-7 days and water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid watering the center of the plant, aim for the soil.
Light Grows best in bright, indirect light, but can tolerate lower light levels as well. Do not leave exposed to harsh direct sunlight. The ideal placement would be close to an East or North facing window.
