Bring all the vibes of the BC rainforest indoors with the feathery plumes of the Plumosa Fern. The plumosa is not actually a fern at all but a tropical plant that owes its name to its decidedly fern-like looks.

Also known as Asparagus plumosa, asparagus fern, lace fern, climbing asparagus, asparagus grass, or ferny asparagus.

    Care

    Difficulty Intermediate. Requires some specific conditions to grow.

    Water     Frequent watering. Check soil moisture using your finger or a moisture meter and water thoroughly when the top 20% of soil is dry, approximately every 5-7 days and longer in the winter or in lower light.

    Light Moderate to bright light. Place this plant in a bright room or in a location where it can have a partial view of the sky. Not suitable for low light spaces. Not recommended for areas that get more than a few hours of direct sun.

    Soil Use our balanced Tropical Mix that retains water and allows airflow.

    • Delivery is FREE for all orders over $99
    • Most orders arrive within 3 business days from the date it was placed, up to a maximum of 5 business days.*

    *If you need your order sooner (or later), send an email with your request to hello@frondlyplants.com and we will do our best to accommodate you.

    What to expect on delivery

    • All plants are delivered by our local delivery team to ensure that they arrive in perfect condition.
    • You do not need to be at home for us to make your delivery as long as we have access to your building via a buzzer code, concierge, or the front door of your house.*
    • You will receive notifications via email and sms once your delivery has been scheduled, when it is on its way, and once it has been successfully delivered.
    • If there are any issues making your delivery, our driver will be in touch with you directly to coordinate.
    • If we are unable to complete your delivery, we will contact you to coordinate another attempt. There is no cost for redelivery.

    *If you require any special accommodations for delivery, please leave a note in the delivery instructions at checkout, or send an email to hello@frondlyplants.com once your order is placed and we will do everything we can to meet your request.

    Returns

    • Plants may be returned within 7 days from the date of delivery, and pots and accessories within 30 days.
    • Plants that have been repotted into a decorative pot are not eligible for return.
    • Return pickup is FREE
    • To initiate a return, please email hello@frondlyplants.com
    • We will work with your schedule to arrange the return and our local team will collect the return within 3-5 business days.
    • A full refund will be provided once the items are collected.

    Great service and Product

    I recently visited Frondly Plants for the first time, and I was extremely impressed. I don’t know the name of the person who helped me, but she was fantastic. She was warm and pleasant, clearly very knowledgeable, and gave me excellent advice. She also did a wonderful job repotting my Japanese fern into a larger pot.

    I was particularly impressed by the quality of the plants throughout the store. Everything looked exceptionally healthy and well cared for, and there were so many beautiful plants that I would have been happy taking almost any one of them home.

    My Japanese fern is doing very well in its new pot, and I absolutely love it.
