    Native to tropical West Africa and one of the most popular plants around, Monty is known for his unique upright leaves and resilience.

    Monty is well adapted to drought conditions and is used to surviving for extended periods of time without water. This makes him perfect for the forgetful waterer or anyone that wants a plant that can maintain its beauty with very little attention.

    Also known as Sanseveria zeylanica, Dracaena trifasciata, Mother-in-Law's tongue, Bowstring hemp. 

    Care

    Difficulty Hard to kill. Extremely forgiving and tolerant of neglect.

    Light This plant can survive in any light conditions. Can survive in lower light spaces. Can tolerate several hours of direct sun.

    Water Water thoroughly when all of the soil is completely dry. In most homes, this will be approximately once per month but less often if kept in low light or during winter months.

    Soil Use our fast draining Cactus Mix.

    • Delivery is FREE for all orders over $99
    • Most orders arrive within 3 business days from the date it was placed, up to a maximum of 5 business days.*

    *If you need your order sooner (or later), send an email with your request to hello@frondlyplants.com and we will do our best to accommodate you.

    What to expect on delivery

    • All plants are delivered by our local delivery team to ensure that they arrive in perfect condition.
    • You do not need to be at home for us to make your delivery as long as we have access to your building via a buzzer code, concierge, or the front door of your house.*
    • You will receive notifications via email and sms once your delivery has been scheduled, when it is on its way, and once it has been successfully delivered.
    • If there are any issues making your delivery, our driver will be in touch with you directly to coordinate.
    • If we are unable to complete your delivery, we will contact you to coordinate another attempt. There is no cost for redelivery.

    *If you require any special accommodations for delivery, please leave a note in the delivery instructions at checkout, or send an email to hello@frondlyplants.com once your order is placed and we will do everything we can to meet your request.

    Returns

    • Plants may be returned within 7 days from the date of delivery, and pots and accessories within 30 days.
    • Plants that have been repotted into a decorative pot are not eligible for return.
    • Return pickup is FREE
    • To initiate a return, please email hello@frondlyplants.com
    • We will work with your schedule to arrange the return and our local team will collect the return within 3-5 business days.
    • A full refund will be provided once the items are collected.
